London-based Poplar raises around $2.1m in seed round

Poplar, founded in 2018, created a platform to bring AR enginners and 3D artists together to combine on projects for platform users. This enables businesses to create innovative VR and AR simulations without the need to enter protracted negotiations with an agency. This funding round, led by Fuel Ventures, is a significant stepping stone for the internationalisation of their product and is likely to be followed with hiring in technology and marketing teams.

CirrusHQ receives £400,000, names Chairman

AWS solutions consultancy CirrusHQ have received a £400,000 growth investment and named Alastair Mills as Chairman. Hiring is expected as they use the funds to strengthen their presence in the UK.
